Welder, metalworker, woodcrafter, artist, sculptor - there
is no simple way of describing Heather Downing... If I had to sum
her up I would simply say multi-tasker, multi-talented, multi-visionary. Heather scours scrapyards, junk shops and hardware stores for raw materials and has been known to use trees from her grandmother's garden - turning and reforming them bringing new purpose, prosperity and beauty to her work. |

Her present work includes spiky squawking sea birds, porky
pigs, gallant stags, magnificent multi-coloured peacocks and car-sized dragonflies.
A menagerie of metal manipulation all of which is sprayed and weather resistant. In Heather's last collection she crafted, branded and turned pieces creating awesome Africanised stalagmatic sculptures for interior or garden use. Heather's collections aim to give pleasure in all sorts of ways, some simple and some profound. What better place to indulge in her creations than in your own garden or home? |
